Bukayo Saka Career

  • When Saka was seven years old, he enrolled in the youth program at Arsenal’s Hale End academy, where he had previously played for the youth teams of Watford.
  • On November 29, 2018, Saka made his first-team debut for Arsenal in their UEFA Europa League encounter against Vorskla Poltava. He replaced Aaron Ramsey in the 68th minute of the match and entered the game as a substitute.
  • During Arsenal’s encounter at home against Qarabag on the 13th of December for the Europa League, Saka made his first full appearance for the club.
  • In May of 2018, he was selected to be a part of the England under-17 squad for the 2018 UEFA European Under-17 Championship that England was hosting.
  • Even though Saka converted his penalty kick, the home team was ousted by the Netherlands in the semi-final stage of the competition due to a penalty shootout.                                                           
  • During their match against France’s under-18 team in September 2018, Saka scored the game-winning goal for England’s under-18 squad. In the month of November, Saka was selected for the England under-19 team for the first time.
  • In his first game at that age level, which was a qualifying match for the 2019 UEFA European Under-19 Championship against Moldova, he scored a goal.
  • Saka made his debut with the England under-21 team during their 6–0 victory over Kosovo on September 4, 2020. The match took place away from England.[96] On October 1, Saka was given his first call-up to the senior England squad , and on October 1, he made his debut for England as a member of the starting lineup in a match against Wales, which England won 3–0.
  • Saka was announced as the winner of the England Men’s Player of the Year award for the 2021–22 season on September 23, 2022. He beat out Declan Rice and Harry Kane to take home the honor, making him the first player from Arsenal to take home the trophy. On November 10, England’s 26-man roster for the 2022 FIFA World Cup was announced, and Saka was one of those players.
