Burna Boy is a Nigerian musician, Singer, Songwriter who goes by the same name. He is also a songwriter and record producer. Burna Boy was born on July 2, 1991. It was the release of “Like to Party,” the lead single from his debut studio album L.I.F.E, in 2012 that propelled him to the forefront of the entertainment industry.

2017 marked the year when he inked a recording contract with Bad Habit/Atlantic Records in the United States and Warner Music Group elsewhere in the world. His major label debut came with the release of his third studio album, titled Outside (2018).

Burna Boy Career

The first studio album by Boy, titled L.I.F.E., was released on August 12, 2013, and served as the follow-up to his second mixtape, titled Burn Identity (2011). On the first day after the album’s release, it was able to sell 40,000 copies. Later, Aristokrat Records executed a 10-million-yen sale with Uba Pacific to transfer its marketing rights. The release of the album was preceded by the release of five songs.

These singles were titled “Like to Party,” “Tonight,” “Always Love You,” and “Run My Race,” respectively. L.I.F.E was totally produced by Leriq, and it features guest appearances by a wide variety of artists, including 2face Idibia, M.I. Abaga, Timaya, Olamide, Reminisce, and Wizkid, among others. The publication Nigeria Entertainment Today placed the album in the tenth position on their list of the twelve best albums released in 2013.

Fela Kuti, King Sunny Ade, and Bob Marley were some of the musical influences that led to the creation of this album. Music critics praised the album’s production and praised the overall excellent reception it garnered from the field. At the 2014 Nigeria Entertainment Awards, it was one of the albums that was considered for the nomination for Best Album of the Year. On the Billboard Reggae Albums list, “L.I.F.E.” reached its highest position of number seven in August of 2013.

2014 marked the beginning of he’s separation from Aristokrat Records. After leaving Aristocrat Records and waiting eight months, he launched his own record label, Spaceship Entertainment, in February of 2015. On a Spaceship is the title of Boy’s second studio album, which was released on November 25, 2015 under the same name. Redemption, his first extended play, which featured seven tracks, was released in September of 2016. It was on Noisey where the lead track “Pree Me” made its debut. He was also Worked had Indian Singer Sidhu Moose Wala.

Burna Boy Family, Relationship and Afair

On July 2, 1991, Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu was born in Port Harcourt, which is located in the state of Rivers in Nigeria. Both of his parents had careers in the service industry; his mother, Bose Ogulu, was a translator, and his father, Samuel Ogulu, operated a welding company. Benson Idonije, the guy who managed Fela Kuti in the past, is the man’s maternal grandpa.

In later years, his mother worked as his manager. Ogulu was born and raised in Southern Nigeria, where he first started producing his own beats with FL Studio. After completing his secondary education at Corona Secondary School in Agbara, which is located in Ogun State, he moved to London, England, in order to further his education. Between the years 2008 and 2009, he attended the University of Sussex for his studies in media technology. Between the years 2009 and 2010, he attended Oxford Brookes University for his studies in media communications and culture.

2018 marked the beginning of Burna Boy and Stefflon Don’s relationship as a couple. In the year 2022, they parted ways.
