Cooper Kupp Career

  • In 2013, Kupp began his career as a wide receiver starter despite having previously had a redshirt. At the end of the season, he had broken a number of single-season receiving records at both his school and the national level, playing at the Football Championship Subdivision level.
  • Kupp participated in the Senior Bowl in 2017, where he recorded two receptions for a total of 14 yards for the North team, which ultimately fell to the South by a score of 16–15. The way that Kupp played at the Senior Bowl improved his position in the draft.
  • According to Bucky Brooks, an NFL analyst, Cooper Kupp had the best performance at the Senior Bowl. He participated in the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis and was successful in all of the activities, with the exception of the bench press.
  • Kupp made the decision to take part at Eastern Washington’s pro day on March 28, 2017, alongside Jordan West, Shaq Hill, Samson Ebukam, Kendrick Bourne, and Miquiyah Zamora.
  • Kupp’s participation was voluntary. He gave each of the combine drills a shot, but he decided against participating in the bench press and the wide jump.
  • The Rams gave Kupp a four-year, $3.83 million contract on June 9, 2017, which included a signing bonus of $954,760. The contract was officially signed.
  • Kupp wore the number 18 for the first three seasons of his career in the NFL before making the decision to switch to the number 10, which was also his number in college at Eastern Washington.
  • On September 12, 2020, Kupp extended his contract with the Rams by signing a new one that was worth $48 million over three years, with a total of $35.1 million guaranteed.
  • On December 29, 2020, the Rams placed Kupp on the reserve/COVID-19 list, which resulted in his inability to play in Week 17 of the 2020 season. On January 6, 2021, he was put into active duty.
  • On the 9th of June in 2022, Cooper Kupp extended his contract with the Rams by signing a new one that was worth $80.1 million over the course of three years. A signing bonus of $20 million and a minimum guarantee of $75 million are also included in the contract.
  • Kupp had 13 receptions for 128 yards and a touchdown in the NFL Kickoff Game against the Buffalo Bills, but his team still ended up losing by a score of 31–10. In the following game, which was a victory over the Atlanta Falcons, he had 11 receptions for 108 yards and two touchdowns. The final score was 31–27.
  • Because of an ongoing hamstring issue, Kupp was put on injured reserve on September 9, 2023, to start the new season. This decision was made. On October 7, the day before the Rams’ Week 5 game against the Philadelphia Eagles, he was brought off injured reserve and activated for the team.
