After suffering a devastating loss to the Green Bay Packers in the wild-card round on Sunday, the Dallas Cowboys‘ aspirations of competing for a Super Bowl were dashed. The Cowboys were eliminated from the playoffs without a chance to make the playoffs.
Despite throwing for 400 yards and three touchdowns, Dak Prescott battled throughout the whole game, which ended in a loss by a score of 48–32.
During the first half, he was particularly poor, as he threw two interceptions, one of which was a pick six, while the Cowboys were trailing by twenty points going into the halftime portion of the game.
In a conversation with reporters after the game, Prescott expressed his dissatisfaction with his performance and provided a straightforward review of his performance using only three words.
“I could have done better tonight,” Prescott acknowledged, as reported by Michael Gehlken of the Dallas Morning News.
As a result of their victory in the NFC East and acquisition of the No. 2 seed in the conference, Dallas entered the postseason with extremely high hopes.

In spite of having a successful regular season, they were unable to advance to the postseason, which was their thirteenth consecutive trip in the postseason without advancing to the conference conference championship.
Taking responsibility for the team’s weak performance, Prescott noted that he was “shocked” by the loss while also expressing his disappointment.
Ahead of the game at AT&T Stadium, where they had not suffered a single defeat throughout the whole season, the Cowboys were considered to be heavy favorites. The last time they suffered a defeat at home was on September 11, 2022, which was a very long time ago.
Despite the fact that Dallas had the advantage of playing at home in the wild-card round, the team made a number of mistakes in front of its supporters, which ultimately led to yet another dismal elimination from the playoffs.
