Gucci Mane Career

  • Davis released his first album under his own name, named Trap House, in 2005. The album includes the hit “Icy,” which was a collaboration with Young Jeezy. Disagreements around the ownership of the rights to this record drove a wedge between the two musicians.
  • For an independent musician, Trap House was thought to be quite the accomplishment. The album climbed to the top of the Billboard Heatseekers Album chart and made its way into the top 20 of the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.
  • He made guest appearances on the remixes of the songs “Boom Boom Pow” by The Black Eyed Peas, “Obsessed” by Mariah Carey, and “5 Star Chick” by Yo Gotti. Additionally, he performed on Mario’s “Break Up.” In 2009, he appeared in a total of 17 different shows as a guest.
  • Drumma Boy was responsible for producing the majority of Gucci Mane’s tenth extended play (EP), titled The Return of Mr. Zone 6, which was released on March 18, 2011. It is currently his highest charting EP, having debuted at #18 on the Billboard 200 chart.
  • I’m Up is the name of Gucci Mane’s newest mixtape, which was released on May 25, 2012. The songs “Supa Cocky,” “Kansas,” starring Jim Jones, “Wish You Would” featuring Verse Simmonds, and “Too Damn Sexy” featuring Jeremih all have accompanying music videos that have been made available online.
  • On April 20, 2014, Gucci Mane issued his first new music of the year, which was a free mixtape titled Young Thugga Mane La Flare, which was a collaborative effort with Young Thug. Later, on May 24, he released another project that had been created in collaboration with 1017 BrickSquad artists called Brick Factory Vol. 1.
  • Gucci Mane published the fifth and final volume of his Trap House series on April 6, 2015 under the title Trap House 5 (The Last Chapter). This volume was the first volume in the series to be distributed in the form of a mixtape.
  • Gucci Mane and Metro Boomin worked together on a mixtape that was titled Droptopwop and was released on May 26, 2017. Rick Ross, Offset of Migos, Young Dolph, and 2 Chainz are four of the artists included on the mixtape’s ten tracks.
  • The song and video “Letter to Takeoff” were released by the rapper on November 15, 2022. The song and video were dedicated to the rapper Takeoff.
