In the past, Ham has participated in mixed martial arts competitions held by Deep, Smackgirl, Jewels, Road FC, UFC, and Rizin. Ham Seo-hee Family, Relationship and Afair

The 8th of March, 1987 found Ham being born in the province of Gangwon in South Korea. She began her kickboxing training in the year 2004, when she was in the second year of her high school program. UFC athlete Kim Dong-hyun was the one who brought her into the world of mixed martial arts in Japan.

Ham frequently practices with male fighters like Dong Hyun Kim, a fellow member of the gym, because there are very few other female fighters in South Korea with whom she may train. Her fighting technique is sometimes compared to that of Wanderlei Silva, leading to the nickname “Hamderlei Silva” being given to her.

Ham Seo-hee Career

  • On February 16, 2007, at Deep 28 Impact, Ham made her MMA debut against Hisae Watanabe, a veteran of Japanese mixed martial arts, and won by unanimous decision, shocking the crowd and Watanabe, who was the favorite.
  • Miku Matsumoto submitted Ham with a triangle choke on May 13, 2007, at the clubDeep Toyama Barbarian Festival 6. Ham was unable to recover from the hold and lost.
  • After suffering her first defeat, Ham overcame Ayumi Saito by virtue of a unanimous decision on September 6, 2007, during Smackgirl 2007: Queens’ Hottest Summer. The event took place in New York City.                                                                                                                                                 
  • At the Smackgirl 7th anniversary event titled Starting Over, which took place on December 26, 2007, Ham challenged the Smackgirl Lightweight Champion Yuka Tsuji for her championship. Despite Tsuji’s entire control of the match, Ham was defeated by a unanimous decision.
  • Beginning in the first week of November 2014, Seo Hee Ham inked a deal to compete in the Strawweight division of Ultimate Fighting Championship for a total of four bouts.                             
  • On December 12, 2014, she competed in her first fight, which was against Joanne Calderwood at The Ultimate Fighter: A Champion Will Be Crowned Finale. The judges voted unanimously to give her the loss in the battle.
  • The fight between Ham and Bec Rawlings was scheduled to take place at UFC Fight Night 65 on May 10, 2015. On April 10, however, Ham made the decision to withdraw from the fight, and she was replaced by Lisa Ellis.
  • After relinquishing her Rizin Atomweight belt, Ham signed with ONE Championship, where she will now compete in the atomweight class of the organization’s mixed martial arts tournaments. The ONE Atomweight Grand Prix was going to be one of the events she was going to compete in.
  • It has been revealed that Denice Zamboanga will be the opponent for Ham in the quarterfinals of the ONE Women’s Atomweight Grand Prix, which will take place on May 28, 2021 at ONE Championship: Empower.
  • At the event titled ONE Championship: Next Generation, which was going to take place on October 29, 2021, Ham was supposed to compete against Stamp Fairtex in a semi-final match of the ONE Women’s Atomweight Grand Prix. Due to an injury, Ham was forced to withdraw from the fight, and Julie Mezabarba, the winner of the alternate bout, took her place.
  • At ONE 163, which took place on November 18, 2022, Ham was supposed to fight Itsuki Hirata. However, Hirata did not make weight and did not pass the hydration test, and the match was canceled since Ham did not agree to fight at a catchweight because of Hirata’s history of not making weight.
  • At ONE Fight Night 14 on September 1, 2023, Ham will compete against Stamp Fairtex for the interim Women’s Atomweight World Championship. This fight is planned to take place.
