Holly Willoughby has issued an apology to the audience of Dancing on Ice in the event that they believed she used a “naughty word” during the opening presentation of the show.
It was Willoughby who was taken aback when her co-host Stephen Mulhern began reciting his lines via a megaphone during the opening segment of the program that aired on Sunday.
The proceedings were halted by Willoughby in order to provide clarification on the situation after a few celebrities had performed on Sunday.
“A little bit earlier on, Stephen may have made me jump, and I think it might have sounded like a naughty word slipped out,” she added. “I apologise for any confusion this may have caused.”

I’m sorry if that’s what you thought you might have heard, but I don’t think I did. I don’t think I did what you thought I did.
“Since ITV Player is the only place where you can watch these things again, I will watch it again on that application.”
Additionally, she informed her new co-host, Mulhern, that it was his responsibility for “being so naughty” in the situation.
Since 2006, the presenter, who is now 42 years old and made her departure from This Morning in October after spending 14 years on the couch, has been anchoring the ice skating show on ITV.
She had a short hiatus from the small screen for a few months, and then she came back for the beginning of the new season of Dancing On Ice.
Following Phillip Schofield’s resignation from ITV in the previous year, Mulhern took over the responsibilities of his previous position.
On Sunday, before the show, Willoughby posted a picture to Instagram in which she displayed the attire she had chosen for movie week.
She wore a black Rasario dress that had a cross-strap neck, a high split, and two white bows at the waist that covered up a keyhole cut. She teamed this dress with black strappy Jimmy Choo heels. The garment was worn during the third week of the show.
