Jason Aldean Career

After graduating from high school, Aldean and his band played at several bars and festivals in the Southeast with the assistance of his father. Aldean started composing and recording his own original songs with the help of Justin Weaver, who was also a part of the band. In 1998, he participated in a showcase put on by the Atlanta nightclub The Buckboard, where he played songs from his debut studio album.

Michael Knox, who was employed at the Warner-Chappell song-publishing organization at the time, made contact with him. At the age of 21, Aldean relocated to Nashville on November 1, 1998, shortly after earning a recording contract with Warner-Chappell. A recording deal was made available to Aldean, but he was ultimately not given one.

He signed with a different label, but in 2000 he was once again dropped from his previous one since his label kept delaying his recording sessions. He participated in a number of showcases, but none of them led to a contract. An effort at the Wildhorse Saloon, during which the band waited for record label talent scouts who never materialized, was the final straw.

Aldean, who was disheartened and frustrated with the way his career was going, allowed himself a grace period of six months before making the decision to leave Nashville and move back to Georgia. Then, after another five weeks had passed, he received an offer of representation from Broken Bow Records in Nashville.

evin Neal became Aldean’s new agent not long after the publication of his debut album, which bore his name. Neal remains Aldean’s agency to this day. During the time that he was recording Relentless, Aldean changed management and joined Clarence Spalding and Spalding Entertainment.

“Hicktown” was Aldean’s first single, and it was released in the beginning of 2005. It was the first single released from his debut album, which bore his name, and it peaked at number 10 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart in the United States. The song “Why” from the album became his first number-one smash in the United States.

McBride & the Ride’s “Amarillo Sky” was originally released as a non-charting single in 2002, and then it was included on this album, which went on to become their number four smash. The song was nominated for Song of the Year and Video of the Year at the 2006 Academy of Country Music Awards. T

he Academy of Country Music presented Aldean with the “Top New Male Vocalist” award in 2006. Because more than one million copies of the album were sold in the United States, the RIAA awarded it the platinum certification in the year 2007.
