Jason Manford – Jason John Manford is a comedian, presenter, actor, and singer who was born in the United Kingdom on May 26, 1981.

Manford served as a team captain on the Channel 4 panel show 8 Out of 10 Cats from 2007 until 2010. He has also hosted a number of television shows for the BBC and ITV, such as Comedy Rocks, The One Show, Show Me the Funny (2011), A Question of Sport: Super Saturday, Bigheads (2017), and Children In Need, and he is currently one of four judges on the show Starstruck (2022) on ITV.

Nora, the man’s maternal grandmother, was a devout Irish Catholic who hailed from Dublin. In the Whalley Range neighborhood of Manchester was where Manford and his four siblings spent their childhood in a terraced house.

Catherine was Manford’s first wife, and they tied the knot in October of 2007. Before they divorced in 2013, they were parents to four children: twin daughters who were born on August 20, 2009, a third daughter who was born in December 2010, and a son who was born in 2012. The home of the family was in Bramhall. In 2017, he wed Lucy Dyke, who would become his second wife; the couple currently has two children together.

Jason Manford Career

  • From June 2007 until November 2007, Manford appeared on Ideal in the role of Jack, a man whose fiancée had broken up with him and cheated on him with ‘little Darren,’ ‘large Darren,’ and ‘flu-stricken Darren.’ Jack had been rejected and cheated on by his girlfriend.
  • In a later episode of that series (episode five), he made another cameo. Up until May of 2008, he was the host of a breakfast show on Xfm Manchester.
  • Between the months of June and November of 2007, Manford served as the continuity announcer and writer for Paramount Comedy. In June of 2007, he succeeded Dave Spikey as the team captain on 8 Out of 10 Cats, having previously held the position.                                                                     
  • A spin-off of the BBC panel show A Question of Sport, which has been presented by Manford since the 21st of June 2014, is broadcast on BBC One under the name A Question of Sport: Super Saturday.
  • On the show that aired on September 21, 2014, Manford served as a guest host for Sunday Night at the Palladium. On May 24, 2015, he made his way back to the studio to host another episode.

Manford made an appearance in the finale of the third season of The Masked Singer in February 2022, disguised as a hedgehog and singing a duet with the show’s eventual champion, Natalie Imbruglia, who was disguised as a panda.

Comedian & Acting Career

  • On July 14, 2010, he kicked off his “Turning into My Dad” tour, which came on the heels of a highly successful first UK tour and high sales of the subsequent DVD, which was taped live at the Manchester Apollo.
  • In the year 2011, Manford joined the group of shareholders of the comedy club known as The Laugh Inn, which is located in Chester. He went to the club on a regular basis to see the performances, cheer on the circuit comedians, and even provide impromptu performances there. In 2013, the club ceased operations.
  • Assembly Bangers: The Album was released by Manford and Chris Sutherland on the 16th of December 2022, and on the same day, the “Christmas Assembly Bangers” single was made available for purchase. Once more, the entirety of the profits was given to the Trussell Trust.
  • In 2019, he starred in the musical whodunit Curtains, which was written by Fred Ebb and John Kander and toured the United Kingdom. After its run at the Wyndham’s Theatre in London’s West End, which began in the middle of December and will end in the middle of January 2020, it will continue its tour of the United Kingdom.
  • Ashley Banjo will play the role of the Tin Man in The Wizard of Oz, which will run at the London Palladium from June to September 2023. Manford will play the role of the Cowardly Lion.
