Jess Glynne Career

  • Glynne finished a one-month music course at an East London college called Access to Music London. It was there that she met the singer Jin Jin and the producer Bless Beats, both of whom would later become future collaborators. In addition, she received her education at Westminster University.
  • Black Butter Records took notice of one of Glynne and Jin Jin’s joint songs, and as a result, the label offered Glynne a publishing contract and connected her with music industry professionals such as managers and attorneys.
  • Glynne was approached by the deep house producer Route 94 in 2013 about reworking and contributing vocals for the song “My Love” that Route 94 had produced. Later, in February of 2014, it was issued as a single, and it quickly climbed to the top spot on the Singles Chart in the UK.
  • After some time, the British Phonographic Industry awarded it their Platinum certification. After listening to “My Love,” the band Clean Bandit from the United Kingdom approached Glynne about including her on their song “Rather Be.”
  • “Right Here,” which was produced by Gorgon City and marked Glynne’s debut as a solo artist, was issued in July of 2014. It charted in a number of places, including the UK, where it peaked at number six. Glynne made an appearance on the twelfth series of The X Factor in October 2015, serving as a guest judge for the episode titled “Cheryl’s Judges’ Houses.”
  • During the same month, she was a presenter for the documentary film The Brit Invasion, which was produced by Vice magazine and explored the rise of electronic dance music (EDM) and British dance music in the United States. After canceling her performance at the Isle of Wight Festival with barely ten minutes’ notice in June 2019, Glynne was given a permanent exclusion from the event.
  • After admitting that the reason for her cancellation was because she had a hard night, the singer later that month canceled a number of engagements “on the advice of her vocal surgeon,” one of which was a headlining appearance at the Rochester Castle Concerts.
  • In January of 2022, Glynne parted ways with Atlantic Records as a result of a dispute with the record label she was signed to. After waiting another two months, she finally signed with Roc Nation.
  • On the 28th of April 2023, Glynne released the lead song “Silly Me” from her forthcoming third studio album. The single was not successful in charting.
