Johnny Walker is defeated by Magomed Ankalaev at UFC Fight Night

A knockout victory was achieved by Magomed Ankalaev over Johnny Walker in the main event light heavyweight match that took place at UFC Fight Night in Las Vegas on Saturday night.

Two minutes and forty-two seconds into the second round, Ankalaev (19-1-1) knocked Walker to the ground with a right punch to his right cheek, which ultimately resulted in the fight being stopped.

After Walker had been knocked down and was positioned against the cage, Ankalaev struck him in the face once more, which prompted the referee to call the match off.

Since February 19, 2022, Walker had not suffered a defeat in a UFC bout. The scoreline was 21-8-0.

As a result of the victory, Ankalaev extended his record to 10-0-1 since September of 2018. In March of 2018, he suffered his most recent defeat.

The battle that took place on Saturday was a rematch of a fight that took place in October 2023 and was declared a no contest because of an illegal knee.

In a different action In a lightweight battle that took place on Saturday, Jim Miller (37-17-0) defeated Gabriel Benitez (23-12-0) via victory through submission.

In bantamweight competition, Mario Bautista (14-2-0) defeated Ricky Simon (20-5-0) by unanimous decision. The scores read 30-27, 30-27, 29-28. The fight was completed by a unanimous decision.

Brunno Ferreira (11-1-0) prevailed in his fight at the middleweight division, and Waldo Cortes-Acosta (11-1-0) emerged victorious in the heavyweight division confrontation.
