Host of “The Daily Show,” Jon Stewart responds by roasting Biden and Trump

He resumed his post as the host of the late-night show “The Daily Show” on Monday evening, just in time for the presidential election of 2024. This was Jon Stewart‘s return to his former seat behind the desk of “The Daily Show” after an almost nine-year break.

Stewart did not spare President Biden or former President Donald Trump from making direct jokes, highlighting the fact that the front-runners in both parties are 81 and 77 years old, respectively. And that the year 2024 is beginning to resemble the year 2020 in many ways.

He exhibited a phrase that was offered for the coverage of the election in 2024, which was “What the f#@k are we doing?” An alternative was presented by him, which was “Indecision 2024: Antiques Roadshow.”

It is not our intention to imply that neither of these men is powerful, productive, or even capable. “However, both of them are pushing the boundaries of their capabilities in order to be able to handle the most difficult job in the world,” Stewart remarked.

It is not completely out of the question to consider the possibility that the oldest persons in the history of the United States to ever run for president would face some of these same difficulties.

Previous elections have also seen some older candidates, such as former New York Mayor Mike Bloomberg and Senator Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), who were both 78 years old when they ran for office in 2020. If they were elected, both Biden and Trump would be the oldest presidents in office by the time their terms came to a close.

When Stewart returned to the studio, he pledged that he would utilize his comeback as host to discuss politics, technology, and “maybe something a little lighter: Israel-Palestine.” The studio audience cheered enthusiastically with his announcement.

When asked about his mental health on Thursday, Vice President Biden responded aggressively by saying, “My memory is absolutely fine.” He made the statement, “I am the most qualified person in this country to be president of the United States and to finish the job that I started from the beginning.”

During the same news conference, Vice President Joe Biden made a mistake when he referred to Abdul Fatah El-Sisi, the President of Egypt, as the President of Mexico. This occurred during a discussion on allowing aid into Gaza. It is possible that those who are interested in geography have realized that Gaza and Mexico do not share a border, as Stewart joked.

What are some ways that you can use TikTok to make yourself appear older? Regarding the response, Stewart pondered out loud.

Over the course of the 2024 election cycle, Stewart will serve as the host of the show’s popular Monday night slot, while other hosts will take turns hosting the show over the remaining days of the week.

He has been the host of the show from 1999 to 2015 until he left. Over the course of that time period, the show fundamentally altered the landscape of late-night comedy, won a total of twenty-four Emmys, and frequently went viral on social media.

A seat that has been vacant since December 2022 due to the absence of Trevor Noah will be filled by the next permanent host of the show, according to a statement made by Comedy Central in the previous year as well.

Stewart made the observation that the contenders for president are not the only ones who have increased in age. His words were, “Look at me.” “Take a look at where time has taken us. As he gestured for the camera to zoom in on his face, he remarked, “Here, give the children a taste of the lunar surface with this treat.”
