  • When Soto was given the opportunity to play for the Hagerstown Suns of the Class A South Atlantic League in 2017, he got off to a strong start. However, on May 2, he suffered an ankle injury while sliding into home during a game, which resulted in his being placed on the disabled list.

  • At the time of his debut in the major leagues on May 20, 2018, Soto became the youngest player in the major leagues, having reached the age of 19 years and 207 days. He was also the first player born in 1998 to participate in a game in the big leagues.
