Kelsea Ballerini – Kelsea Nicole Ballerini is a country pop singer and songwriter from the United States of America. She was born on September 12, 1993. She started creating songs while she was a child, and in 2014 she secured a contract with Black River Entertainment, after which she released her debut studio album, titled The First Time, the following year. After thereafter, in 2017, she released her second studio album titled “Unapologetically.”

The first two albums released by Ballerini have yielded a total of seven singles that have charted on the Hot Country Songs and Country Airplay charts. She has five singles that have reached number one on the latter list, beginning with her debut single “Love Me Like You Mean It,” which propelled her to the top of the chart and making her the first female artist to send a debut single to the top of that chart since Carrie Underwood in 2006. She has five number one singles on the latter chart.

Kelsea Ballerini Career

  • She signed a contract with Black River Entertainment when she was 19 years old. Her first single, titled “Love Me Like You Mean It,” was released around the end of 2014, and it made its debut on the Country Airplay list in the month of October 2014.
  • In November, she released an extended play for the label with the same name as the album. In 2014, CMT recognized her as one of the country music industry’s “Next Women of Country.” She made her debut at the Grand Ole Opry on February 14, 2015, she sang “Love Me Like You Mean It” during her set.
  • Early on in the year 2017, it was announced that Ballerini has been placed at number two on the Forbes list of 30 Under 30 in the Music industry. In the year 2017, Ballerini was nominated for two Academy of Country Music Awards: one for Female Vocalist of the Year and another for Video of the Year for her performance of “Peter Pan.”                                                                                         
  • “Legends” was the first song that was released by Ballerini in 2017, and it was taken from her second studio album. Her second studio album, titled Unapologetically, was released on November 3 of this year.
  • Little Big Town sent an invitation to Ballerini to join the Grand Ole Opry on March 5, 2019, and Ballerini accepted the invitation. Carrie Underwood was the one who gave her the honor of inducting her into the Grand Ole Opry on April 16, 2019.
  • In April 2019, Ballerini kicked off her Miss Me More Tour in support of her debut studio album Unapologetically. Ballerini was able to fill venues on many occasions during the tour, indicating its overall success.
  • Ballerini made the announcement on September 2 that she would be releasing a follow-up album to Kelsea, simply titled Ballerini, which will feature acoustic renditions of the songs. On September 11, 2020, it was made available to the public.
  • Ballerini served as a coach on the 20th season of The Voice in 2021, filling in for Kelly Clarkson while she was on maternity leave. She won the award for CMT Performance of the Year, which she was nominated for at the 2021 CMT Music Awards, which she co-hosted with Kane Brown.
  • Ballerini disclosed in March 2022 that “Heartfirst” would be made available for purchase on April 8, 2022. Subject to Change is her fourth studio album, and this song acts as the first single to be released from it.
  • Ballerini gave the performance of the song for the very first time at the 2022 CMT Music Awards, which she also helped host. On July 7, 2022, the official music video for the song made its debut.
  • Ballerini made the announcement that her EP Rolling Up the Welcome Mat, along with the accompanying short film, would be released the day after the 13th of February, 2023.
