Luke Combs Music Career

  • February 2014 saw the release of Combs’s debut extended play (EP), titled The Way She Rides. His second extended play, titled Can I Get an Outlaw, was released later that same year. In 2016, his debut single, “Hurricane,” debuted at number 46 on the Hot Country Songs chart.
  • It was a huge success, selling 15,000 copies in its first week of release. His third extended play, titled This One’s for You, was released in November of 2015. In the latter part of 2016, he was selected as one of the “Artists to Watch” program by Sounds Like Nashville.
  • The first song from This One’s for You, “Hurricane,” was re-released on Columbia Nashville after he signed a contract with Sony Music Nashville. These two events occurred simultaneously. On May 15, 2017, “Hurricane” climbed to the top of the country radio airplay chart, where it remained for a period of two weeks on multiple occasions.
  • This One’s for You was also the title of his debut album, which was released by Columbia Nashville and River House Artists in June of 2017. It was his debut album on a major label.
  • During its first week of release, it climbed to the top spot on the Top Country Albums chart on Billboard and to the fifth spot on the Billboard 200. “When It Rains It Pours” is the second single from the album, and it was released to country radio on June 19, 2017.
  • He received an invitation to join the Grand Ole Opry on June 11, 2019, and he accepted the invitation. This One’s for You established a new record for the longest reign at the top of the Top Country Albums chart by a male artist in August 2019, as it spent its 44th week at the top of the list.
  • On November 8, 2019, he released his second studio album, which was titled What You See Is What You Can Get.
  • All of the singles that have been released from the album, including “Beer Never Broke My Heart,” “Even Though I’m Leaving,” “Does to Me” (a duet with Eric Church), and “Lovin’ on You,” have all climbed to the top of the country chart.
  • He issued the song “Six Feet Apart” in the month of May in the year 2020. The tune soon gained popularity among listeners because to the fact that it depicted the difficulties that people faced while living through the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • The information that “Lovin’ on You” will be his next single was verified by him in June of 2020. This song was included on both his second album and the EP titled “The Prequel,” which was released prior to the album.
  • The release of his fourth studio album, titled Gettin’ Old, took place on March 24, 2023. Before the album was published, a promotional single titled “Growin’ Up and Gettin’ Old” and a single titled “Love You Anyway” were both made available to the public.
  • Due to the fact that his rendition of Tracy Chapman’s “Fast Car” was streamed more than 65 million times on Spotify in a span of less than two months after the album was published, it became the most popular song from the album on that particular platform.
  • The song has been a significant influence on him ever since he was a young boy, and he considers it to be his very first favorite music.
