Mark Ballas – Mark Alexander Ballas Jr. is a well-known American dancer, choreographer, singer-songwriter, musician, and actor. He was born on May 24, 1986 in the United States.

Dancing with the Stars is a dance competition that airs on the ABC network. Ballas is a professional ballroom dancer. In the fall of 2007, he made his debut as a contestant on the show, which was then in its fifth season. In 2011, he was nominated for an Emmy in the Outstanding Choreography category. In March of 2011, Ballas released his debut album under his own name, titled HurtLoveBox.

Mark Ballas Career

  • Rosemead Preparatory School, located in South London, was Ballas’ educational institution of choice. He was accepted into the full-time program at the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts in London when he was just 11 years old, and he also received a full scholarship for the program.
  • In 2005, he was honored as “Performer of the Year” by a prestigious award. After that, he went on to triumph in the championships of The International Open to the World, The British Open to the World, and The US Open to the World.
  • Formerly partnered with Julianne Hough, he was victorious at both the Junior Latin American Dance Championship and the Junior Olympics, where they took home the gold medal.
  • As an actor, Ballas originated the role of Tony, the protagonist character, in the musical Copacabana. Additionally, he originated the role of Maria de Buenos Aires, the lead dancer, in the UK national tour of the Spanish musical.                                                                                               
  • In addition to that, he was the back-up actor for the part of Ritchie Valens in the national tour of Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story in the United Kingdom.
  • Sabrina Bryan, a member of the band Cheetah Girls, and Mark Ballas were paired together for the fifth season of Dancing with the Stars. On the 30th of October 2007, the pair was eliminated from competition. They are the only couple that has been asked to participate in the exhibition dance again.
  • Kristi Yamaguchi, a figure skater who won a gold medal at the Olympics, was Ballas’ partner on season 6 of Dancing with the Stars. They ended up winning the season.
  • ABC made the announcement of the cast for the seventh season of Dancing with the Stars on August 25, 2008. Ballas was paired with Kim Kardashian, a reality television personality, for the competition. On September 30, 2008, they were the third couple to be eliminated, and they ended up ending in eleventh place.
  • Paige VanZant, a mixed martial arts fighter who competes for the UFC, was his partner for season 22. The duo of Ballas and VanZant competed well enough to advance all the way to the show’s finale, where they ultimately came in second. Ballas did not appear in any of the seasons 23 or 24 episodes of the show.
  • For season 25, Ballas made her return to the competition as a professional dancer and was paired with musician Lindsey Stirling. Ballas and Stirling competed all the way to the championship round, where they ultimately came in second.
  • The 31st season of the show saw Ballas’s return to the cast. Charli D’Amelio, a well-known figure on social media who is also a dancer, was his dancing partner. They were victorious, marking Ballas’ third victory on the show and his first victory since Season 8 thanks to this victory.
