Marvin Harrison Jr. Career

  • In January of 2021, Harrison submitted his enrollment paperwork to Ohio State.[20] In 2021, he was a freshman and saw limited playing time because to the presence of future first-round NFL draft choices Garrett Wilson, Chris Olave, and Jaxon Smith-Njigba ahead of him in the depth chart.
  • Despite the fact that he only had five receptions for 68 yards during the regular season, he would make his first career start in the 2022 Rose Bowl when both Wilson and Olave announced their intentions to enter the 2022 NFL Draft.
  • In the game against the Utah Utes that took place in the Rose Bowl, he caught six receptions for 71 yards and three touchdowns, leading his team to a victory of 48–45.
  • As a result of Harrison’s breakout performance in the Rose Bowl, there were great expectations for him heading into his sophomore season. Harrison had a productive start to the season for Ohio State by catching five catches for 76 yards against Notre Dame.
  • After fellow receiver Smith-Njigba suffered an injury during Ohio State’s game against Notre Dame, Harrison took over as the Buckeyes’ primary receiving option for the remainder of the season.
  • During the game against Penn State, which Penn State won 44–31, Harrison set new career highs in receptions (10) and yards (185). Two weeks later, he would have another game with 100 yards versus Indiana. This time, it would be against the Hoosiers.
  • Harrison had his sixth performance of the season with 100 yards or more against Ohio State’s rival Michigan, which took place during the Buckeyes’ first loss of the season, which was 45–23.
  • Harrison worked as a route runner for quarterback C.J. Stroud during Ohio State’s pro day in preparation for the 2023 NFL Draft. Harrison’s performance received more press than that of draft eligible prospects, despite the fact that he will not be eligible for the draft until the year 2024.
  • Harrison is widely regarded as the top receiver in college football, and he is set to compete for that title during the 2023 college football season.
