Nick Cannon – Nicholas Scott Cannon is an American television personality, actor, rapper, and comedian. He was born on October 8, 1980, in the United States. Cannon got his start in the television industry as a youngster on the show “All That.”

After that, he went on to host shows such as “The Nick Cannon Show,” “Wild ‘n Out,” “America’s Got Talent,” “Lip Sync Battle Shorties,” and “The Masked Singer.” Drumline, Love Doesn’t Cost a Thing, and Roll Bounce were some of the movies in which he appeared as an actor. In 2003, he issued his first album under his own name, which featured the track “Gigolo” and was a duet with the artist R. Kelly.

On April 30, 2008, Cannon wed singer-songwriter Mariah Carey at her private house on Windermere Island in the Bahamas. The location of the ceremony was not disclosed. On the 30th of April in 2011, Carey gave birth to a pair of identical but separate children.

Nick Cannon Music Career

  • Cannon was a member of the rap group “Da G4 Dope Bomb Squad” while he was a teenager. During their time together, the group performed as an opening act for artists such as Will Smith, LFO, 98 Degrees, and Montell Jordan.
  • After signing with Jive Records in 2001, he was included on the Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius album, performing a cover of the classic song “Parents Just Don’t Understand” alongside Romeo Miller and 3LW. The original version of the song was released in 1988.
  • 2003 saw the release of his first self-titled album, which featured the track “Your Pops Don’t Like Me (I Really Don’t Like This Dude)”.                                                                                                             
  • On July 26, 2013, Nick Cannon gave the world premiere of his new single “Me Sexy” and stated that he was working on a new second studio album entitled White People Party Music containing collaborations with Afrojack, Pitbull, Future, and Polow da Don.

Television Host Career

  • Cannon was the creator, host, and producer of the improv comedy series Wild ‘N Out, which aired on MTV in 2005. In the same year, he presented Nickelodeon’s 2005 Kids’ Choice Awards, during which a human cannonball was fired into slime.
  • This stunt is commonly referred to as the “slime stunt.” In addition to that, he worked as the DJ for the Bigger, Longer, and Wider show that Ellen DeGeneres hosted.
  • Cannon played home to the Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest on July 4, 2011, an event that is held annually in the United States and features competitive eating.
  • MTV2 made the announcement that it would be bringing back Wild ‘N Out on November 12, 2012. At the annual Ebony Magazine Power 100 Awards, which took place on November 4, 2013, Cannon not only served as the master of ceremonies but also as an honoree. Since 2014, he has been the host of the NBC show “Caught on Camera with Nick Cannon.”
  • It was stated in 2019 that Nick Cannon would be launching his very own syndicated daytime chat show in the year 2020. The show would be produced by Lionsgate’s Debmar-Mercury and Nick Cannon’s own production business, NCredible Entertainment.
  • Nick Cannon’s show made its debut on September 27, 2021, following a temporary break caused by the controversy surrounding him. Fox Television Stations played a significant role in the production of the show.
