Nicki Minaj fuels Megan Thee Stallion dispute with ‘nasty’ comment about deceased mother

On Friday, Nicki Minaj took her ongoing feud with Megan Thee Stallion to a new level by making a joke about the latter’s mother, who passed away a few years ago. Megan Thee Stallion is the rapper known for her song “Savage.”

Following the release of her new song, “Hiss,” in which she was critical of her husband of four years, Kenneth Petty, Minaj went on Instagram Live to discuss the matter.

The lyrics of Megan’s song include the phrase “These hoes don’t be mad at Megan / these hoes mad at Megan’s Law,” which is a reference to the statute in the United States that mandates law enforcement to publicly disclose information about sexual offenders who have registered with the government.

Within the video, Minaj makes a joke that might be described as “nasty” about Megan’s mother, who passed away in 2019.

Some fans even speculated that it might have been a jab at Jelani Maraj, the brother of the 41-year-old rapper known as “Anaconda.” Jelani Maraj was found guilty of predatory sexual assault in 2017 for the rape of his stepdaughter, who was 11 years old before the incident.

Minaj instructed Megan to “conjure up her mother and apologize” after the song was out since the phrase was “disgusting.” Megan made this statement after the song was released.

In March of 2019, Megan’s mother, Holly Thomas, passed away as a result of a brain tumor that was malignant.

During her acceptance speech for the Glamour Woman of the Year award in 2021, Megan mentioned her mother’s passing; however, she has not yet provided a response to Nicki’s remarks.

On the other hand, followers on social media have.

One of the users of X remarked, “Nicki is completely losing me, this was real nasty of her,” while another user added, “I can’t believe we saw the day that Nicki became insecure and bitter.”

Minaj, whose birth name is Onika Maraj, has recently launched a new assault on Megan. This comes shortly after Minaj, who was born Onika Maraj, has teased an unreleased single that targets the foot injuries that Megan got as a result of being shot by Tory Lanez in July of 2020.

In the song, the rapper known as “Barbie World” can be heard saying, “Bad bitch, she like 6 foot / I call her Bigfoot / The bitch fell off / I said get up on your good foot.”

Lanez, who was 31 years old at the time, was found guilty of all counts related to the shooting of Megan in December 2022. However, he was sentenced to ten years in prison six months later.

The exact beginning of Minaj and Megan’s dispute is still unknown; however, in 2019, when they worked together on their smash song “Hot Girl Summer,” they were on very good terms with one another.

Several fans are of the opinion that the friendship came to an end because Megan worked with Cardi B, who is Minaj’s adversary, on the smash single “WAP,” which was released in the year 2020.
