Rochelle Humes Music Career

  • The reality competition known as S Club Search was the impetus for the formation of S Club Juniors in the year 2001. Subsequently, 19 Entertainment, the management company that had formed S Club 7 and auditioned S Club Juniors, determined that they should play as a support act at each and every venue on the tour.
  • This decision was made after 19 Entertainment had auditioned S Club Juniors. By the time the tour was over, S Club Juniors had developed a fanbase, and with the support of 19, Polydor Records decided to sign the group.
  • “One Step Closer” was the title of their initial single release. The record was released in the UK on April 22, 2002, in the midst of a chart war with the return single by the Sugababes, which was also released on the same day. The single was promoted by the television series S Club Junior: The Story.
  • Following the dissolution of S Club 8, Humes held her first presenting role as the host of the children’s television program Smile, which aired on the BBC during the years 2005 and 2006. The show was broadcast on BBC Two in the early morning hours of Sundays.
  • In 2006, Humes departed the program for reasons that are currently unknown, and not long after that, the program was cancelled.
  • Since 2007, Humes has been a part of the female group The Saturdays. Alongside her, the group’s other members are Una Healy, Mollie King, Vanessa White, and Frankie Bridge, who was also a member of S Club 8.
  • In July of 2008, The Saturdays made their first appearance on a chart with the song “If This Is Love,” which ultimately peaked within the top ten in the United Kingdom. Chasing The Saturdays was the band’s second extended play, which was only made available in North America.
  • Singles such as “30 Days,” “What About Us,” “Gentleman,” and “Disco Love” were released in conjunction with the band’s fourth studio album, titled Living for the Weekend.

Television Career

  • Humes first off her career as a presenter on television by serving as a co-host for the children’s morning television show Smile from 2004 to 2006.
  • In 2013, Humes was a regular panelist on the first season of Sweat the Small Stuff. Beginning with the second series, however, he was promoted to the role of regular team captain.
  • Humes was a contestant on the Christmas edition of Strictly Come Dancing, which aired on December 25, 2013. She participated in The Great Sport Relief Bake Off on January 16, 2014 and was one of the competitors.

  • In 2016, Humes and Stephen Mulhern were the co-hosts of a new Sunday night entertainment programme on ITV called The Next Great Magician. In 2017, she appeared on the ITV show Lorraine as a guest host for four different episodes.
