Russell Wilson – Russell Carrington Wilson is an American football quarterback who currently plays for the Denver Broncos of the National Football League (NFL). Wilson was born on November 29, 1988 and has two siblings. He started his professional career with the Seattle Seahawks and played there for the first ten seasons of his career. Wilson is widely regarded as one of the best quarterbacks to ever pose a threat from multiple positions throughout their careers.

Wilson started his college athletic career in both football and baseball at NC State from 2008 to 2010. He then transferred to the University of Wisconsin in 2011, where he went on to break the record for the highest single-season FBS passer rating and lead Wisconsin to the Big Ten championship as well as the 2012 Rose Bowl.

In addition, he was a second baseman with the Tri-City Dust Devils of the minor league baseball circuit in 2010 and the Asheville Tourists of that circuit in 2011.

  • At the IMG Madden Football Academy in Bradenton, Florida, on January 16, 2012, Wilson began his preparations for the NFL Scouting Combine. The combine is held annually in February. Before the 2012 NFL Draft, NFL scouts and commentators had Wilson pegged as a pick that would come anywhere in the center of the first round and the second round.
  • Chris Weinke, a former quarterback in the National Football League who is now the head of the IMG Madden Football Academy, said this about Russell Wilson in February 2012: “If he was 6–5, he’d probably be the No. 1 pick in the draft.”
  • Wilson made his first appearance in a preseason game on August 11, 2012, against the Tennessee Titans. On August 24, 2012, he started his first preseason game, which was played against the Kansas City Chiefs.

  • Wilson became the highest paid player in the NFL after signing a four-year contract deal with the Seahawks on April 16, 2019, for a total of $140 million. This will keep Wilson with the Seahawks until the 2023 season.In the first game of the 2020 season, which was a victory over the Atlanta Falcons with a final score of 38–25, quarterback Russell Wilson completed 31 of 35 passes for 322 yards and four passing touchdowns.
  • Due to his outstanding play during Week 1, he was awarded the title of NFC Offensive Player of the Week. In the first game of the 2022 season, which was played against the Seahawks, Wilson threw for 340 yards, completed 29 of 42 passes for a touchdown, and suffered a loss to his previous team by a score of 17–16.
