Shreyas Iyer– Shreyas Santosh Iyer is a right-handed batter for the Indian cricket team. He was born in India on 6 December 1994 and plays for the Indian cricket team as an international cricketer. He has participated in all of the Indian team’s competitions in all formats. Iyer became the first Indian player to accomplish this feat when he hit a century in his first test match and a half century in the second innings in a test match against New Zealand in November 2021.

Iyer is the captain of the Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League and plays for Mumbai in the domestic cricket competition. During the 2014 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup, he was a member of the India Under-19 cricket squad that competed.

Iyer was discovered by coach Pravin Amre at the age of 18 while he was competing at the Shivaji Park Gymkhana. Amre was his coach when he was just starting out as a cricket player. Shreyas Iyer Career

Iyer was given a spot on India’s Test team in March 2017 in order to provide backup for Virat Kohli in advance of the fourth Test match against Australia. During the fourth test, he was brought in as a replacement fielder and was responsible for dismissing Steve O’Keefe for 8.

Iyer was given a spot on India’s Twenty20 International (T20I) squad in October 2017 for their matchup against New Zealand in a set of T20 matches. On November 1, 2017, he made his debut for India in a Twenty20 International against New Zealand, but he did not bat in the match.

Iyer was given a spot on India’s One-Day International (ODI) squad in November 2017, when the country was preparing to play a series against Sri Lanka. On December 10, 2017, he competed in his first One-Day International for India, which was a match against Sri Lanka. In the second one-day international match, which took place in Mohali, he batted 70 times and scored 88 runs.

He got 44 runs off 33 balls in the second Twenty20 international that was played against New Zealand on January 26, 2020. Iyer achieved his first ever century in one-day international cricket on February 5, 2020, when he hit 103 runs off 107 balls in the first one-day international match against New Zealand.

Iyer was selected to be one of India’s three reserve players for the 2021 ICC Men’s Twenty20 World Cup in September of 2021. In November of 2021, he was given a spot on India’s Test squad in preparation for their matchup against New Zealand. On November 25th, 2021, he made his first appearance for India in a Test match against New Zealand.

Iyer received his first Test cap from the legendary Indian cricketer Sunil Gavaskar on November 25, 2021, the same day that he hit his first hundred runs in a match against the New Zealand cricket team. In his first test match, he scored a century, making him the 16th Indian player in history to do so.

Iyer scored a total of 204 runs in the T20I bilateral series that India played against Sri Lanka in 2022, breaking the record that had been held by Virat Kohli for the most runs scored by an Indian batsman in a T20I bilateral series of three matches. His runs included three consecutive undefeated half centuries.
