Sunil Chhetri Career

Chhetri made his debut with the India U-20 football team on March 30, 2004, when they defeated the Pakistan U-23 squad by a score of 1-0 in the South Asian Games in Pakistan. The tournament was held in Pakistan. Chhetri scored twice for the India U-20 team in their triumph over the Bhutan U-23 squad on April 3, 2004, resulting in a 4–1 score for India. When Sunil first played for the senior India national football team against Pakistan on June 12, 2005, he made his debut that day and scored his first goal.
