After her original song “One Day” went viral on YouTube and TikTok in 2017, RCA Records took notice of McRae in 2019 and signed her to their label. McRae then released her debut extended play (EP), titled All the Things I Never Said. Tate McRae Career

McRae worked as a voice actress for the Lalaloopsy franchise, providing the voice for the character of Spot Splatter Splash from the time the show first aired in 2013 until the time it went off the air in 2015.

After beginning her career as a competitive dancer, McRae was recognized as the Mini Best Female Dancer at the 2013 Dance Awards held in New York City. After achieving a certain level of notoriety, she joined forces with the American dancewear maker Capezio as a brand ambassador. At the New York City Dance Alliance’s 2014 National Gala, she competed and advanced to the final round.

After earning a silver medal as a soloist and a bronze medal for her duet performance at the 2015 Youth America Grand Prix, McRae was presented with a scholarship to the Berlin State Ballet company for a period of two weeks in 2015. She appeared as a dancer in the music video for the track “Rule The World” by Walk off the Earth, which was awarded the platinum certification.

At the 2015 Dance Awards, McRae was recognized as the Best Female Dancer, but this time it was in the “Junior” category. She won this title for the second time.McRae’s YouTube channel has largely included videos of dance ever since it was created in 2011. The majority of the uploads have been quite steady.

In 2017, she launched the video series “Create With Tate,” with the intention of sharing the unique music that she had written and recorded in her room. Due to the fact that her upload of the first song in the series, “One Day,” which she penned when she was just 14 years old, had more over 39 million views, she decided to self-release the song as an independent single.

Eventually, the song would be awarded the gold certification in Canada; this would be the first certification she would receive throughout her career. As part of her “Create With Tate” series, McRae continued to post independent singles online and release them during the years 2017–2019. The song “Dear Ex Best Friend” has received more than 40 million views on YouTube, and the song “Dear Parents” has received more than 20 million views. Both of these songs are notable. As a result of the series, she was recognized as a “Artist on the Rise” on YouTube.

At the young age of 11, she began her instruction in a variety of dancing forms at YYC dancing Project, a dance business that was run by her mother.
