Troye Sivan – Troye Sivan Mellet, who was born in Australia on 5 June 1995, he is a Australian singer as well as an actor. After garnering a following as a singer on YouTube and in several Australian talent competitions, Sivan got a recording contract with EMI Australia in 2013.

In 2014, he published his third extended play (EP), which was titled TRXYE, and it reached number five on the US Billboard 200. The lead song for the album, “Happy Little Pill,” made it into the top 10 of the music charts in Australia.

In 2015, he issued his fourth extended play under the title Wild, and then in 2016, he issued his debut studio album under the title Blue Neighbourhood. Sivan’s first track to break into the top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100 list, “Youth” was the lead single for this album and peaked at number 23.

Troye Sivan Career

  • The singing performances that Sivan gave in the 2006, 2007, and 2008 Channel Seven Perth Telethons marked the beginning of his career as a musician. During his performance in 2006, he sang a duet with Guy Sebastian, the winner of the Australian version of Idol.
  • In 2007, Sivan competed in StarSearch and made it all the way to the finals.[23] Dare to Dream, his debut extended play, was released in June of 2007. The collaborative music charity video “We Are the World 25 for Haiti (YouTube Edition)” was premiered by Sivan in February of 2010.
  • It was produced by Lisa Lavie to assist raise money for those affected by the disaster that occurred in Haiti in 2010.                                                                                                                                       
  • Sivan was signed to EMI Australia, a label owned by Universal Music Australia, on June 5, 2013, however he did not reveal this fact until June 5 of the following year. The first single from the EP, “Happy Little Pill,” was published on July 25, 2014, and was followed by the release of the EP’s title track, “TRXYE,” on August 15, 2014, which had five songs.
  • On January 10, 2018, Sivan released the single “My My My!” along with a music video to accompany it. He admitted that the American model Jacob Bixenman, who was his lover at the time, was the creative force behind his second album.
  • Sivan announced the release of “Take Yourself Home,” the first single from his fifth extended play (EP), In a Dream, on April 1, 2020. To produce the visual art for his single, Sivan collaborated with a number of independent artists who were looking for employment during the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • The musicians, who Sivan met on Instagram, also designed t-shirts for the single, and the revenues from the sales of those t-shirts were sent to the WHO COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund as well as the COVID-19 Music Relief Project on Spotify.
  • The original versions of two songs that Sivan had composed for the film Three Months were made available for purchase in February of 2022. In December of 2022, he released an original song named “You Know What I Need” that was a collaboration with PNAU.
  • On July 13, 2023, Sivan revealed that he will be releasing his third studio album titled Something to Give Each Other. At the same time, the album’s lead track titled “Rush” was made available.
  • On September 20th, the second single, titled “Got Me Started,” along with a music video for the song was made available for purchase and download. The album was made available for purchase on October 13.
