  • William S. Hart High School, located in Santa Clarita, California, was Glasnow’s high school of choice.He has made a commitment to play baseball for the University of Portland during his undergraduate career.
  • Through the fifth round of the Major League Baseball draft in 2011, the Pittsburgh Pirates selected Glasnow as their player of choice.In addition, Glasnow received a signing bonus of $600,000 when he joined with the Pirates.
  • During the 2014 season, Glasnow was a member of the Bradenton Marauders, who competed in the Class A Advanced Florida State League. He had a record of 12–5 and a 1.74 earned run average while pitching for Bradenton in 23 starts.                 
  • His ankle was sprained on May 6, 2015, after he had started the 2015 season with the Altoona Curve of the Class AA Eastern League. He made his comeback to the game on June 19, 2015, with the West Virginia Black Bears of the New York–Penn League for the first time since the injury.
  • Beginning in 2017, Glasnow was a member of Pittsburgh’s starting rotation. His command was a problem for him in his first start of 2017, as he allowed five runs to be scored on four hits and five walks in a total of one and a half and three innings pitched.
  • After a total of 12 starts, Glasnow had a 7.45 earned run average and a 1.91 WHIP. In June, he was given the option to play for Indianapolis.
  • Chris Archer was included in the trade that brought Glasnow to the Tampa Bay Rays on July 31, 2018. Also included in the deal was Austin Meadows and a player who will be announced later (Shane Baz). He was instantly added to their starting rotation after being brought in.
  • When Glasnow began the 2019 season with a perfect record of 5–0 and a 1.75 earned run average, he was honored with the title of American League Pitcher of the Month for the month of April.
  • Glasnow was placed on the 10-day injured list after he suffered an arm strain while playing against the Yankees on May 10. As of the 26th of May, he headed to the 60-day IL.
  • Glasnow was diagnosed with a partial tear in the ulnar collateral ligament and a flexor strain in his right elbow on June 15, 2021. Both of these complaints were made public.
  • In the end, he decided to go to rehabilitation rather than undergo surgery, which resulted in him being placed on the 10-day injured list. The 17th of June saw him move on the injured list for a period of sixty days.
  • An extension that would take Glasnow through the 2024 season was reached between the Rays and Glasnow on August 22, 2022.
  • The 60-day inactive list for Glasnow was lifted on September 28 due to his activation. Over the course of the evening, Glasnow made his debut in the 2022 season against the Cleveland Guardians. He pitched three innings, recorded three strikeouts, and allowed one earned run.
  • Glasnow was diagnosed with a Grade 2 strain of his left oblique on February 28, 2023, and it was stated that he would be out of action for six to eight weeks.
