Charlie Morton – Charles Alfred Morton is an American professional baseball pitcher who currently plays for the Atlanta Braves of Major League Baseball. He was born on November 12, 1983 in the United States. Morton was chosen by the Braves in the third round of the Major League Baseball draft in the year 2002.
A former member of the Pittsburgh Pirates, Philadelphia Phillies, Houston Astros, and Tampa Bay Rays, he has also played for those teams in the past. Morton won the World Series in 2017 and 2021, and he was selected for the All-Star team in both 2018 and 2019.

Charlie Morton Family, Relationship and Afair
Morton is the son of Jeanne Morton, an accountant, and Chip Morton, a former basketball player for Penn State University. Morton was born in Flemington, New Jersey. His grandfather was a player in the minor league system for the Philadelphia Athletics.
He spent his childhood in Trumbull, Connecticut, where he participated in youth baseball leagues alongside future major league players such as pitcher Craig Breslow and infielder Jamie D’Antona.
Cindy and Morton have been blessed with four little ones thus far. They call the city of Bradenton in Florida their home.

Charlie Morton Career
- Morton was chosen by the Atlanta Braves in the third round of the 2002 Major League Baseball Draft. This selection was the 95th overall pick. In 2002, he made his debut in the professional ranks with the GCL Braves, where he posted a record of 1–7.
- In 2003, he was a member of the Danville Braves and their record that year was 2–5. He was a member of the Rome Braves organization during both the 2004 and 2005 seasons.
- Morton, Gorkys Hernández, and Jeff Locke were sent to the Pittsburgh Pirates by the Atlanta Braves on June 3, 2009, along with Nate McLouth, in exchange for the player’s services. On June 10, he got his first start with the Pirates, pitching an inning against the Atlanta Braves.                          Â
- Jeff Karstens was the one who ended up winning the game, though. Morton had a great deal of difficulty and started to develop inflammation in his freshly surgically repaired hip during the spring training that took place in 2015. Morton was placed on the 15-day injured list by the Pirates on April 5, 2015 due to an injury.
- Morton was sent to the Philadelphia Phillies in exchange for David Whitehead on the 12th day of December, 2015, by the Pittsburgh Pirates. Morton suffered a hamstring injury while racing to first base during a game against the Milwaukee Brewers on April 23, 2016, and was placed on the injured list the following day.
- This brought an early end to Morton’s season, which had only just begun. The Philadelphia Phillies confirmed on April 27 that Morton would be sidelined for the remainder of the 2016 season due to a torn hamstring.
- Morton was given a deal of $15 million for one year by the Atlanta Braves on November 24, 2020. The contract was for one year only. Morton and the Braves came to an agreement on a one-year contract extension on September 6, 2021, which was worth $20 million.
- In 2022, he finished the season with a record of 9–6 and a 4.34 earned run average. He made 31 starts and threw 172 innings while throwing curveballs 38% of the time, which was more than any other pitcher in the major leagues.
- He hit 18 batters, which placed him in second place in the NL and gave him the active career lead in hit batsmen with 156.
