Nate Bargatze Career
- Bargatze started his career as a stand-up comedian in Chicago, and subsequently traveled to New York City to perform at The Boston Comedy Club there. Both “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” and “Conan” have included him as a guest.
- In 2013, he was a member of Jimmy Fallon’s Clean Cut Comedy Tour. That same year, he won both the New York Comedy Festival and the Boston Comedy Festival. He has performed for members of the American armed services in both Iraq and Kuwait, where he also composed for the Spike TV Video Game Awards.                                                              Â
- Yelled at by a Clown (2014), which was Bargatze’s first stand-up CD, spent two weeks on the Billboard Top Ten Comedy Charts and reached its highest position of No. 2 during that time. In May 2015, he debuted his second studio album, titled Full Time Magic, in conjunction with the premiere of his Comedy Central special.
- Outside of Atlanta, Georgia, Bargatze filmed an hour-long special for Netflix titled “The Tennessee Kid,” which was made available in March of 2019.
- The following installment of his stand-up special, titled The Greatest Average American, was made available on Netflix in March of 2021. It was shot in the open air at Universal Studios Hollywood, and it was up for consideration for a Grammy Award in the category of Best Comedy Album in 2022.
- In 2021, Bargatze was the subject of a piece that was published in The Atlantic. The article referred to him as “The Nicest Man in Stand-Up.” In the brief Portal spinoff game Aperture Desk Job, which was released in 2022, Bargatze provided the voice for a personality core called Grady.
- Hello World, a stand-up comedy show performed by Bargatze and shot at the Celebrity Theater in Phoenix, Arizona, was made available on Amazon Prime Video in the month of January 2023.
- A performance given by Bargatze at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on April 15, 2023 broke the all-time record for the number of people that attended an event at that location with 19,365 people in attendance. On Saturday, October 28th, Bargatze will present Saturday Night Live.
