On August 18, 2019, Scheffler won the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Championship in Columbus, Ohio. Scheffler won by two shots after shooting a 4-under 67 in the final round on Ohio State University’s Scarlet Course.

Scheffler won the Masters Tournament on April 10, 2022, defeating Rory McIlroy by three shots. Scheffler became the fifth golfer to enter the Masters Tournament ranked number one in the world and win, following Ian Woosnam (1991), Fred Couples (1992), Tiger Woods (2001, 2002), and Dustin Johnson (2020).

In February 2023, Scheffler successfully defended his title at the WM Phoenix Open. He beat Nick Taylor by two strokes in the final round, shooting a 6-under 65. Scheffler’s win propelled him back to the top of the Official World Golf Ranking.

Scheffler claimed his second Arnold Palmer Invitational victory in March. Scheffler finished the week at Bay Hill 15 under par, the lowest number since Rory McIlroy’s 2018 victory.

Scheffler won The Players Championship the following week, becoming the first person to win the event twice in a row. Scheffler fired an 8-under 64 in the final round to recover from a five-shot deficit, tying the biggest comeback by a Players Championship victor at TPC Sawgrass.
