Odell Beckham Jr. Career
- The New York Giants used the 12th choice in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft to choose Beckham. This was the highest overall pick available. He was taken behind only two other wide receivers in that year’s draft.
- On May 19, 2014, he penned a contract with the Giants that was good for four years. The total compensation for the contract was $10.4 million, including a signing bonus of $5.88 million.
- Beckham made his debut on October 5, 2014, against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 5. He recorded four receptions for 44 yards and a touchdown in the victory, which the Giants earned by a score of 30–20.
- Beckham had been out for the duration of training camp, the preseason, and the first four games of the season due to a hamstring injury. Beckham played in his first Monday Night Football game for the first time against the Indianapolis Colts and finished with eight receptions for 156 yards and a loss of 40–24.
- Beckham was selected to appear on the cover of Madden NFL 16 on May 13, 2015, beating out Rob Gronkowski of the New England Patriots in the voting process. Beckham holds the record for being the youngest athlete to ever be on the cover of Madden.
- Following Tom Coughlin’s resignation as head coach of the Giants, Beckham began the 2016 season working under new head coach Ben McAdoo. Coughlin had previously held the job of head coach for the Giants. Beckham was handed a fine of $12,154 on September 17 for a dance-celebration that occurred during Week 1’s game against the Cowboys.
- On November 11, 2021, Beckham agreed to terms with the Los Angeles Rams for a contract that will last for one year. In 2021, Beckham appeared for the Rams in a total of eight games during the regular season. Five out of the seven games saw him score a touchdown. Along with his five touchdown catches, he concluded the season with 44 grabs for 537 receiving yards and a total of 537 receiving yards.

Beckham is the older sibling of two younger children: a brother and a sister. Odell Beckham Sr., Beckham’s father, was a successful running back at Marshall High School in Marshall, Texas. Odell Beckham Sr. also played running back at LSU from 1989 to 1992.
Heather Van Norman, Beckham’s mother, was a track runner at Louisiana State University, where she also attended.
She participated in three national championship relay teams that same year, 1993, and won both the indoor and outdoor 4 x 400 meter relays as well as the outdoor 4 x 100 meter relay.
Beckham and his partner Lauren Wood made the happy announcement in November 2021 that they are expecting their first child together.
