Olsen, who was born in Sherman Oaks, California, began her acting career when she was just four years old. Her first film role was in the 2011 suspense film Martha Marcy May Marlene, for which she received praise and was nominated for a Critics’ Choice Movie Award among other accolades.
After that, she had a role in the 2011 horror picture Silent House. Following her graduation from New York University and receipt of a nomination for the BAFTA Rising Star Award, Olsen went on to win the award.

Elizabeth Olsen Career
Olsen made her acting debut in the suspense film Martha Marcy May Marlene, which was released in 2011. Following the world debut of the film at the Sundance Film Festival, both the film and her performance were met with widespread critical acclaim.
Olsen received several award nominations for her portrayal of the titular character Martha, a young woman suffering from delusions after fleeing her life in a cult and returning to her family, including nominations for the Critics’ Choice Movie Award for Best Actress and the Independent Spirit Award for Best Female Lead.
Olsen also won a number of awards for her performance, including the Independent Spirit Award for Best Female Lead. She stated that she had a personal fascination with mental diseases, and that was the source of her interest in the character. Olsen joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe media series by starring in the superhero movie Avengers: Age of Ultron, which was released in 2015 and was a sequel to the 2012 film The Avengers.
She played Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch in the movie, which was the first time the comic book character had been adapted for the big screen.
